Join ACS on our popular 12 day Baja Whale Adventure aboard the 95-foot vessel Searcher.

On this incredible trip, which begins in San Diego and ends in Cabo San Lucas, we have the opportunity to see ten or more kinds of whales!

We travel along the Pacific coast, from San Diego, CA to San Ignacio Lagoon, Magdalena Bay, and the Sea of Cortez, with many stops along the way to view lounging elephant seals, nesting seabirds and brilliant wildflowers.

Two days are spent in San Ignacio Lagoon, where passengers encounter gray whales from skiffs and explore its beaches and mangrove estuaries.

After leaving San Ignacio Lagoon, we continue south along the Baja California peninsula.

The boat visits Magdalena Bay, then travels around the Cape and up into the Sea of Cortez in search of the great whales -- blues, fins, and humpbacks.

The magnificent blue whale, the acrobatic humpbacks, and the sleek fin whale are all commonly seen in the Sea of Cortez.

Opportunities also exist to explore the desert islands and shores of the Sea of Cortez and snorkel in its pristine waters among colorful fish.

Priced competitively with for-profit outfitters, our Whale Adventures provide experienced naturalists who are your guides on nature walks, snorkels and whalewatches, and present slide lectures in the evenings. We also provide an extensive syllabus to help you learn about and appreciate the incredible wilderness of Baja.
